Who am I?

I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B. Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) and worked for 3 years in various architecture firms until the bottom fell out a year after 9/11. At that time, I thought the smart thing to do would be to go off to nursing school and get some of what they call "financial security" and "recession-proofing" on my "job skillz."

So, two ivy league loans later, here I am. I'm a critical care nurse now (maybe, if I get to know you well enough, or you buy me enough drinks, I will tell you my long tale of woe, but for now, satisfy your curiosity with this much.)

I haven't sketched in ages (read: decades) so this is very hard for me to come back to, let alone post pictures of this stuff.

I will be probably using this blog to post pics of sketches in order to show to the urban sketching group in my area that I am, in fact, a sketcher, and that I merit membership (here's hoping they find me worthy!)

Aside from that, my sketches are pretty private, usually, and I don't show them to many people. Even when I was in architecture school, you could only see my stuff while it was being presented in front of a jury, or if you were a friend and we were working on stuff simultaneously--I'm not sure how this blog is going to sit with me, as I'm not very "showy" when it comes to my work.

But, anyway...that's who I am.
